An Evening With Katy Watson

Wednesday 13th September 2023, 7 pm

Join us on Wednesday 13th September at 7pm for an evening celebrating the Golden Age of crime fiction with a modern twist, as we welcome Katy Watson, bestselling author of our May Thriller of the Month, The Three Dahlias. The Three Dahlias is an addictively readable cosy crime pastiche, and for this event Katy will be in conversation with book editor Flora Rees to discuss her writing and introduce us to her second fiendishly clever vintage mystery, A Very Lively Murder, in which the three sleuthing actresses reunite to solve a murder on a movie set!

Tickets cost £3 and every guest will receive a complimentary beverage upon arrival. Both of Katy’s entertaining and hugely enjoyable cosy crime books will be available to purchase on the night, and she will be signing and dedicating copies after the talk.

Don’t miss out on this special evening – we look forward to seeing you there!

Locked Room Revival:

Jenny Blackhurst, Katy Watson, Sam Blake

Saturday 16th September from 10:30 am 11:30 am Holy Trinity Church, Stirling

£8 / £7 concession

Meet three authors who have cleverly crafted three classic, and seemingly impossible, mysteries for their characters to solve. Jenny Blackhurst’s exceptional Three Card Murder features three fiendish locked-room crimes in one book as two sisters, one a cop, one a con-artist, go head-to-head. In Katy Watson’s vintage murder tale, A Very Lively Murder, three actresses set out to catch a murderer before he or she can strike again. The Mystery of Four by Sam Blake features a vivid cast of characters and a classic mystery as murder strikes at the grand reopening of a restored country house.

Knives, forks and sharp wits at the ready, let’s eat!

N.B. This event is now sold out, but if you’re at Harrogate this summer, I’ll be there all weekend, so please say hi if you spot me!
